Note
We only say Goodnight as another way of saying goodbye at the end of an evening, or before going to bed. We never use it as a greeting. For a greeting at night, use Hello or Good evening (more formal).

Chúng ta chỉ dùng Goodnight như một cách để tạm biệt vào buổi tối hoặc chúc ngủ ngon trước khi đi ngủ. Câu đó không bao giờ được dùng như một lời chào hỏi.
Để chào hỏi vào buổi tối, hãy dùng Hello hoặc Good evening (trang trọng hơn).

1. Tom meets Anna for the first time at a club.
Tom gặp Anna lần đầu tiên ở một câu lạc bộ.
– Hi, I’m Tom. What’s your name?
– Anna.
– Sorry?
– Anna!
2. They go out together. At the end of the day, they say goodbye.
Họ đi chơi với nhau. Đến cuối ngày, họ chào tạm biệt và hẹn gặp lại.
– OK, bye.
– Yes, goodbye.
– See you tomorrow. (Hẹn gặp lại em ngày mai.)
– Not tomorrow, Saturday. (Không phải ngày mai, mà là thứ Bảy.)
– Oh yeah. See you on Saturday.
– See you.
– Goodnight.

Note
- The stress of day of the week is always on the first syllable.
- The day of the week always start with a capital letter as they are named after Roman gods and Norse gods.

- Với các từ chỉ ngày trong tuần, trọng âm luôn được nhấn vào âm tiết đầu tiên.
- Các từ chỉ ngày trong tuần được viết hoa vì chúng được đặt theo tên của các vị thần La Mã và Bắc Âu cổ.
